Tier 1 Operator for Security/Surveillance
Fortis Group is hiring an on-call Tier 1 Operator for Security/Surveillance for various locations with a pay range of $30-$35 per hour. Depending on the detail, mileage and lodging is reimbursable.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Investigative Research: Conduct thorough research and gather information from various sources to support investigations. Utilize online databases, public records, social media, and other relevant resources to compile accurate and comprehensive reports.
- Surveillance Operations: Plan and execute covert surveillance operations to gather evidence, monitor subjects of interest, and document activities. Maintain discretion and professionalism during fieldwork.
- Evidence Collection: Collect, document, and preserve physical and digital evidence following proper chain of custody procedures. Ensure all collected evidence is admissible in legal proceedings.
- Interviewing: Interview witnesses, subjects, and relevant individuals to extract information and insights related to ongoing investigations. Record statements accurately and ethically.
- Case Documentation: Prepare detailed and organized case reports outlining findings, evidence, and conclusions. Present findings to management, clients or legal entities in a clear and concise manner.
- Legal Compliance: Operate within the bounds of legal and ethical standards, respecting privacy rights and adhering to local, state, and federal laws throughout all investigations.
- Court Testimony (if needed): Prepare for and provide credible testimony as an expert witness in legal proceedings, presenting findings and evidence to support the case.
- Technology Utilization: Employ specialized tools and software for data analysis, surveillance, and evidence collection. Stay updated with advancements in investigative technology.
Qualifications
The Operator for Security/Surveillance must be active or former state-certified Law Enforcement with experience in Surveillance, SWAT, and Weapons & Defensive Tactics.
- Valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) (exempt status preferred) and excellent marksmanship skills.
- Strong understanding of crisis management and conflict resolution techniques.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check.
- Proven record of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Working Conditions
- Must be flexible and have the ability to deploy at a moment's notice.
- Must be willing and able to deploy out of town and be willing to stay for any length of time depending on the need.
- Must be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May be exposed to hazardous conditions, such as violence, weapons, and dangerous chemicals.
- May be exposed to potentially stressful situations and environments, requiring high levels of resilience and composure.
Physical Requirements
- To stand or walk for extended periods, possibly in adverse weather conditions.
- Physical capacity to respond swiftly to emergency situations is necessary.
- Good eyesight and hearing are essential to observe, detect, and respond to potential security threats.
- Occasionally may be required to lift or carry heavy objects.
- Walk/run long distances, up and down stairs.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle with precision.
- Use firearms and other weapons.
- Think clearly and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
